Lighting new learning and study environments for the primary auditoria building at DTU - The Technical University of Denmark.
The newly renovated building includes six auditoria and three databars over altogether 3300 square meters.
The air is cleaner, the chairs are more comfortable, the acoustics are better and there is ample access to daylight. The areas created provide lively and inspiring study environments in the building’s communal areas with space for group work, informal study places and lounge-like zones. Similarly to DTU Skylab, Lightscapes designed a system that can be reconfigured by the user to create space within a space. Here though, the emphasis is on clean lines and simplicity with a focus on the buildings materiality.
The solution was designed in close collaboration with Rørbæk & Møller and was completed September 2016.
